the Mophie Juice Pack that we paid for the R&D of Delayed again? Say it Aint't so

I pre ordered the Mophie Juice Pack in August, the 24th to be exact. Delivery was promised in September. Which became late September to mid and then late October. and now the site reads November 7th I believe that I like many others have funded this company’s R&D on this product and should be compensated for such.. they took the money from my card on the 24th of august. and now ::::

mophie:

We’re sorry to hear that you would like to cancel your order. We have

ME: My request was for next day shipping of a Unit I paid for more than 60 days ago. I NEVER Requested that you cancel my order. Not on one single Email. I said to ship it now or refund the cash. Why didn’t you leave the money in the account until your ready to ship.

mophie: see the credit hit your account within 2-3 business days.

ME: You know this is outrageous. 2 to 3 business days. it didn’t take you that long to take the money.. You will also apply a $20.00 money usage fee. for using my money to fund your R&D for the past 60+ days.

mophie: If there is anything we can do in the future to improve your experience here at mophie.com please feel free to let us know at the below email.

ME: I’ve let you know.. I’ve asked 3 times and 1 ultimatum which you read as “I want to cancel and get nothing for my money now that you’ve used to fund your operation for the last quarter year”.

It wasn’t a Question it was a statement.. Either Ship Next day Air where I get it tomorrow or refund the Money. I did not plan on funding your R&D the Pre- order data was that it was shipping by the end of the month and that was September. then October..

Listen Guys.. Here gos the ultimatum.. You ship my juice pack TODAY NEXT DAY AIR.. or Refund the Cash that you’ve had now for 60+ days.. so that I can get the fast mac IV they’re shipping already.

Dear Jeffrey,

This email is regarding your order # 204217

Unfortunately, there will be a slight delay in shipping your order. We know this is a much needed accessory for any serious iPhone user – with that in mind; we have made every effort to bring you this product as quickly as possible without sacrificing quality or performance. Part of our dedication to quality is to only introduce products to the market that are “Works with iPhone” certified by Apple. Unfortunately, part of this process is extensive testing at Apple certified facilities, which have queues that are often hard to predict.

I can assure you that your product is allocated and ready to ship as soon as final certification is received from Apple.

Current estimated ship date is: October 31st, 2008.

If there is anything we can assist you with please contact us at team@mophie.com . For up-to-the-minute news and ship dates, please visit http://www.mophie.com/blogs/faq

We appreciate your business.

  • Ross - NOVEMBER 7, 2008 AT 8:39 AM Hey Marty, I ordered (and paid for) my fastmac iV at the last Macworld IN JANUARY!!!! I received it yesterday November 6th. So dont give props to a company you haven’t worked with. BTW… its ugly as sin.

  • Marty Buchaus - NOVEMBER 7, 2008 AT 9:42 AM Hows that the Iphone 3g didn’t come out till July. did they do this with the original Iphone model?

  • Ross - NOVEMBER 7, 2008 AT 11:22 AM Yes, they did. They then decided to modify it (using my money, I suppose) to work with both the first generation and the 3G. Also, this product is not “Works With iPhone” certified, which probably cuts down on the development timeline.

  • Ross - NOVEMBER 7, 2008 AT 11:23 AM oh… and i got my tracking number from mophie.com yesterday. should be here later today!

  • Marty Buchaus - NOVEMBER 27, 2008 AT 11:26 AM I’ve received my mophie and have been using for a few days now… and the battery life seems to fall short of the claims on mophie’s website. I left on standby one Sunday total lying 49 hours and made 1, 3 min call Mophie was dead by 50th hour and the phone lasted till about 3 that afternoon.. now the phone of course was used for a few calls on monday morning.. I’m wondering if the phone is using more power due to the mophie making the phone think it’s on AC..

  • Michael V. Riley - FEBRUARY 12, 2009 AT 8:59 PM I bought a juice pack in the late fall and it worked well for about 3 weeks and then simply “died”. I received a replacement from MStation and the replacement worked perfectly for about 3 1/2 weeks and then “died” 3 days ago. My e mail to mophie regarding the problem goes unanswered. Oddly enough, I live within about 1 hour of their office and may simply take a drive up there to chat with the CEO about the obvious problem with the unit.
